"Absolutely fantastic, one of the better zoos I've ever been to. We spent about 4 or 5 hours doing the whole thing, a great afternoon spent there. They had a very interesting selection of animals to see, some in very close proximity with big open bird cages. If you happen to go during the summer you must see the Close Encounters exhibit, they have amazing birds flying millimeters above your head!"
"Great visit at Paignton Zoo. Lovely animals and keepers talks were both informative and interesting. There was plenty of areas for picnics. Train ride is £0.80p per person. We chose not to go on the train, however was very popular. Parking is free, however both the park and parking is up steep hills. For those with mobility issues, would recommend hiring the mobility bikes. Shop was fully stocked and prices were reasonable."

"Nice zoo with a good selection of animals to see. They seem to be big on the environment and animal conservation which is good to see. The bird of prey show is one to see if you want to get close to the birds, they fly right over your head, so close that you can feel them; my kids loved it! I liked that they sell water in recyclable card-based packaging, not in plastic bottles; more places should do this."

"An amazing zoo! Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Talks very informative. Animal enclosures also very well built so animals seem happy but enough viewing space to be able to see them. Lots of different species and also some rarer varieties. Zoos are always a little pricey for a day out but people really need to invest in the conservation of the amazing animal. We have the year pass and considering how often we go it is fantastic value for money."

"Amazing day out. Worth saving the pennies for. Two teenagers and a 12 year old very happy. Plus my husband was so happy to see Red pandas so close up. Elephant talk about Duchess very interesting. Although very sad she has lost her friend her lack of eyesight means it's for her own safety that she is a singular Elephant. We loved the sheer variety of animals and I found a personal fondness for the swamp monkey... such a cute face :). Some of zoo might not be so easy if you are in a wheelchair but I felt lots of effort had been made for those with additional needs.. the signs for each animal, the sensory garden and audio commentary. Didn't eat here but lots of picnic areas and ice cream type stalls. Gift shop had a great variety of things for a great variety of prices.Thoruoghly enjoyable day."
