"I have been wanting to complete my Day Skipper Sailing Course for a number of years. As a surprise 40th birthday treat, my friends and family organised for me to take the Day Skipper Sailing theory, practical training and assessment with Torbay Sea School. Even with the fifteen or so years of expectations being built up, the course in no way disappointed. A challenging, educational and, most importantly, enjoyable two weeks to successfully obtain my Day Skipper Sailing qualification. The week in the classroom made the grey matter work harder than it had done for a few years, but the course was well delivered and paced so that all eight in the classroom got where they needed to. The week on Orion, Torbay Sea School's yacht for the practical training and assessment was for me the most enjoyable part. The accomodation was comfortable, the food well above expectations, and the practical training exactly what I needed. Thank you Duncan and Jill for your hard work and the time you invested in me to achieve my goal whilst also looking after other people's expectations. I can't recommend Torbay Sea School highly enough, and I will be going back to get further qualifications and training."

"An excellent sea school. Patient instructors, good instructor to student ratio and a beautiful area to sail."

"We couldn't recommend these guys highly enough. We've just completed our VHF exam and Jill was very patient, kind and took the time to make sure we understood everything. We have our Powerboat level 2 with them in a couple of weeks time and can't wait. It doesn't hurt that they've got one of the best views in Brixham too!"

"Excellent in every way. I came for a 2 day powerboat level 2 course, with some trepidation. The Sea School trainers are real professionals; instantly they put you at your ease, are unfailingly patient and manage to convey masses of information and teach so many skills in a manner that is relaxed, professional, enjoyable and fun. The most serious topics are treated with unfailing skill and respect. I cannot believe I learnt so much in such a short time and all this in a nurturing and caring environment. I look forward to returning to Torbay Sea School for future courses."
