"Very nice, well kept golf course, nice friendly staff and fellow players."

"On a short break in Devon. Decided to try this course whilst there. So glad we did, beautiful, well kept course with immaculately manicured greens, not a pitch mark or repair to be seen. Not the easiest of courses, we are convinced that the members all have one leg shorter than the other ! 😊 Simple rule, play left on the way out and right on the way in. Some interesting greens to reach, a couple way above the fairway which gives you beautiful views and worrying tee shots back down. If you have mobility problems and cannot manage without a buggy at all unfortunately you will either have to miss some holes out or not play it , which would be a great shame as it really is a Jewel of a course. Club house is great, well kept with friendly staff. I was lucky enough to have a lovely chat with last years Lady Captain and she was very welcoming. Hubby and I can't wait to return to try and achieve a better score on this fabulous course. Thank you Sidmouth Golf Club for a brilliant day."

"There are times when you visit a golf club and you feel very much at home within minutes, well Sidmouth is most decidedly one of them, my wife and I had decided to walk to the club from our hotel ( a good challenge ) On arriving at the the club the pro was very engaging and friendly, inside the staff and members who were in the bar at the time were instantly friendly to our engaging with them. My thoughts when sitting on the outside decking looking at the 18th green and watching some fine bunker play was " I wish we had brought our clubs " . If we could have awarded a sixth star it would have been for the wonderful aroma which was coming from the kitchen as we left, unfortunately we could not stay to sample the source !!! But I hope we shall return soon and sample both the course and the food ..."
